  • Gardening Club Present Prize Cheque to NSPCC

    20th July 2017

    Our gardening club children were able to present their £500 prize cheque from the Frenchgate Gardening competition to the NSPCC today.

    Emma from the NSPCC was so pleased that our children chose this great cause as their nominated charity and came to a special assembly to collect it.

    A massive well done to all our Nursery Children and Little Grangers who recently managed to walk half a mile to raise money for the Barnardo's charity.

     

  • Summer Fair Success

    7th July 2017 Wow!! What an amazing time we all had at the Summer Fair. Everybody had so much fun and we managed to raise around £750 to go towards school funds. A massive thank you to all our parents for bringing their children and also for donating prizes. Well done everyone!   • Our Seaside Day At The Little Grangers

    6th July 2017 What a fun day we had! We made pictures of sea creatures with sand and glitter, danced beside the seaside with cre8ive dance academy. We also had some yummy hotdogs and scrummy ice-cream. Even the sun managed to get out a little.
  • Year 1 Stay and Make

    6th July 2017 After their recent visit to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, the year 1 children were challenged to make an animal enclosure with their adults. What a fantastic job they did!
  • Oh I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside

    5th July 2017 The nursery and reception children had so much fun at their seaside themed day at Grange Lane. They went paddling in the sea, relaxed on the deck chairs and sun bathed on the sand after a very busy year. They visited their very own ice-cream parlour and hot dog stand and even danced with cre8ive dance academy too. What a fabulous day to remember.
  • We are the champions!!

    3rd July 2017 Ten year 2 children were selected to participate in an inter-school sports competition which was arranged by Mini Kicks. The children had fun taking part in the traditional style competitive races and were named Champions at the end of the tournament. Well done!!
  • Year 2 Stay and Make

    28th June 2017 The Year 2 children had a great time with their adults at the stay and make session. Don't forget to watch out for your child's work in the Holmes Carr Centre during 2018 for the centenary of the end of the First World War!
  • Healthy Living At Grange Lane

    23rd June 2017 Healthy Eating week was 12th-16th June this year and we had lots of fun! We set a few challenges. Each class had to cook a healthy treat, try some new fruits, design a healthy lunchbox (for a competition) and try to be extra active during the school day. We also had a 'Smoothie Bikes' session where our pedalling made the smoothie start mixing! We got to choose our own fruits and share our smoothies with our friends. Our competition winners were Peter, Archie, Shelby, Archie, Keira and Teegan. They each
  • Health Eating in Reception

    23rd June 2017 In Reception we have done lots of activities for Healthy Eating Week! We designed The Very Hungry Caterpillar using different veggies (and tasted lots of them too!). We also tried lots of different fruits. We tried melon, pomegranate, blueberries, mango and grapefruit (grapefruit made us pull funny faces!).
  • We Can Eat Heathily In The Little Grangers

    23rd June 2017 The Little Grangers had so much fun trying news fruit and vegetables. All the children brought different fruit to nursery. We made fruit smoothies and fruit kebabs, they were delicious.
  • We are 'Blooming Amazing' at the flower show!

    26th May 2017

    Well done to the Gardening club children and Mrs Waterhouse.  

    The children entered a competion where they designed their very own garden with a chance of winning £250 for our school and £500 for their chosen charity ... and guess what ... because they won their category their winning design was constructed by a professional landscape gardener and is currently being exhibited in The Frenchgate Shopping Centre over the summer.

  • Sam's Safari Visit

    24th May 2017 The nursery children had a great time with Sam's Safari last week. They were able to hold and touch a number of animals that many hadn't seen before. We had the pleasure of meeting Egor the Tortoise and was fascinated watching him eat a banana.

  • Easter Day at Grange Lane!!

    7th April 2017

    WOW!!! What an amazing day. We have been so busy having lots of fun.  The children have enjoyed an extensive range of Easter activities including Easter Egg Hunts, creating their own pictures and poems and we even had our very own Easter bonnet parade.  A massive thank you to all the children and parents who took part in this magical event.  The standard of hats were outstanding.     5th April 2017 A huge thanks to all our Nursery parents that attended our Easter themed stay and make, it was a great success. The children loved showing their parents how to cut and stick to create fantastic Easter baskets.
