  • World Book Day

    2nd March 2017 We had so much fun on world book day. Our school was full of all our favourite story book characters, including Little Red Riding Hood, Thomas the Tank Engine and many more.

    Go on get involved in our egg-citing Easter Bonnet / Hat competition! Make it as basic or as egg-travagant as you like. Prizes for the best hat per year group will be donated by our new parent, teachers and friends association group Grown Up Grangers.

    Our Little Grangers have had a great time celebrating the Chinese New Year.  They have been busy cutting and sticking lanterns,  making and tasting Chinese tea and trying Chinese food.

    The nursery children have been celebrating the Chinese New Year in lots of different ways.  For example, they have been using chopsticks to pick up noodles, tasted Chinese food and made Chinese lanterns and dragons.  They also enjoyed learning a Chinese dance with thanks to cre8ive dance academy.

    Nothing stops the children at our school from having fun learning outside.  The nursery children had a great time singing nursery rhymes, going on a bear hunt through thick oozy mud and seeing their reflection in the puddles.

    The Little Grangers showed off their artist skills today making a Pudsey Bear as part of the schools fundraising day for Children in Need.

  • Grange Lane Infant Academy Remember

    Children in year 2 learned about life in the trenches in WWI and discussed what it would be like to be there. They then represented the images in groups and we brought some of the characters to life. It was possibly the most powerful session I have ever been part of and cried twice. The children worked with such maturity and understanding of such a challenging topic. Amazing.

    We then came together as a whole school to lay our self made poppies in our special remembrance assembly which was also very moving an

  • Diwali Celebrations

    How better to celebrate Diwali 'The festival of lights' ...by dancing Bollywood style.  Thanks to cre8ive dance academy, our children enjoyed a day of authentic Hindi dancing.  Well done children you were amazing.

     

  • Little Grangers - Trick or Treat

    Trick or Treat????  I think you will agree it looks like the little grangers had a Halloween treat on Monday.   They had lots of fun dressing up,  they danced to Halloween songs and used their creative skills to make scary print pictures and sticking pumpkins.  They even  had special spooky cupcakes at snack time.... ooooh.



  • Halloween Disco

    We had a spooktastic time at our Halloween disco on Thursday night. Witches, wizards, Frankenstein’s and skeletons were amongst the many doing the monster mash!

  • Harvest

    A huge thank you for the harvest and the very generous food donations received for the assemblies.

    We hope you enjoyed watching the children singing and performing their class songs for the harvest assemblies. All the food donations will be used for the local Doncaster food bank, which will support local families in need of a little extra help during this Autumnal period.
