    Who's been sitting on my chair?  Or rather, who's been making masks in our school?  The nursery children and their parents had so much fun making the 3 bears and Goldilocks masks at the stay and make day.  Take a look at our pictures I'm sure you will agree they all did a super job.

     

  • Little Grangers

    Our newest and youngest provision, Little Grangers. have settled in wonderfully in the new 2 year old provision building.

  • Adult First Aid Courses

    If you'd like to feel more confident with basic first aid, Rossington Children's Centre has a course running on the 27th January. Places are however on a first come first served basis.

  • Macmillan Coffee Afternoon

    Thank you to everyone who made it to our coffee afternoon or sent 10 pence into school for their child to have a bun. We raised a staggering £155 for Macmillan Cancer care. So well done everyone, a fantastic team effort supporting an amazing charity.

    We are delighted to inform you that our new Parents, Teachers & Friend's Association Group here at Grange Lane Infant Academy has been named Grown Up Grangers!

    Grown Up Grangers are now preparing for their first big fund raising event, which will be Friday 2nd December. The plan is to have a large Christmas Fayre, with a Santa’s Grotto, stalls, tombola’s, raffles and games.  

    With any event there is always a lot of preparation to do, funds to raise and prizes to obtain. Therefore Grown Up Grangers are asking

    In celebration of Roald Dahl's 100th birthday, we all came to school dressed as one of his many book characters. There was an amazing variety from little Esio Trots, Big Friendly Giants, Enormous Crocodiles, and Grand High Witches (who thankfully didn't turn any children into mice!) We also had Charlie's, Matalida's, Willy Wonka's, fabulous foxes, Mr & Mrs Twits, golden ticket winners and umpa lumpa's!

  • Gardening Club at Rossington Summer Fayre

    Thank you to everyone who popped by the gardening club stall at the Rossington Summer Fayre. The gardening club which children of Grange Lane Infant Academy attend as an afterschool club, made an amazing £109 profit.

    All of the £109 will be put back into the club to purchase compost, seeds, planters and seedlings for the children to enjoy this academic year. The gardening club at Grange Lane Infant Academy is managed by Mrs Waterhouse and is independently funded so they really appreciate all your all support

    If you came down to school today, you would have found lots and lots of Teddy Bears! All of them were having a yummy picnic with the children!

  • Circus Skills

    We are really busy in school and enjoying the final week of the year. Today we have been learning how to be a circus entertainer, by mastering stilt walking, juggling, balancing and trickery. It was really good fun and was enjoyed by the whole school.

  • Grange Lane has Talent!

    Wow we have so much talent here at Grange Lane. We were entertained with various acts this afternoon from each year group as part of our activities week. There was singing, dancing, acting, gymnastic displays and sporting skills on show which had the whole school clapping and cheering.

    Mrs Elliott & Mr Murrell were the impartial judges who decided on the overall winners of each year group.

     

     

  • Yr2 Leavers Assembly

    Thank you to everyone to came and enjoyed, sang along and shed a few tears watching the year 2 leavers assembly today. Our year 2 children have been a fabulous year group and we wish them the very best as they move forward into junior school.

  • Sports Day

    We had a marvellous mini kicks sports day today with lots of skill based activities to test our abilities!

    We had a great time taking part in various obstacle courses, balancing tests and races. The winners of the running races competed in the final for which Sean Simpson was the winner with Darcey-Ley and Charlie Armstrong coming in closely behind. We even had a teachers race, which Mr Riley with his long strides easily won.

    Thank you to everyone who came to the last stay and make family craft session of the year.

    Our reception children were given the task of making an extravagant crown with their parent or carer and as you can see some were more amazing than the queens!
