  • Active Eat'y Club

    28th January 2016

    In October we invited parents to come along to our afterschool Active Eat'y club with their child. The response was really positive and we were asked if more sessions could be planned, so on Thursday 28th January we held another parent's session.

    Again the response was very positive and it was great to see parents helping their child in the club and joining in with the eneregic and fun games the children all enjoy.

  • Reception Read Write Inc Parents Morning

    On Tuesday 12th January we had meeting for parents of our reception children about our new Read Write Inc reading and writing scheme.

    The meeting consisted of a short presentation which had videos explaining the scheme including how to sound, blend and Fred talk! Parents were then invited into the classrooms to watch how children are taught to read and write using the scheme.

  • New Martial Arts Club

    5th January 2016

    Our new martial arts club kicked off this week!

    The demand has been so high we have needed to offer the club twice per week. Tuesday sesson is now full but we do have a few places available on Monday. If you would like your child to join, the cost is £1 per week paid in half termly amounts. This half term only cost £5.

  • Christmas Jumper day raises £80 for charity

    Thank you to everyone who helped to raise £80 for the text santa christmas jumper day. Text Santa supports the work of Macmillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish UK and Save the Children. From helping those affected by crises, to granting wishes to children fighting life-threatening conditions, to funding nurses so those with cancer get the care they need, Text Santa will give hope to families in the UK and overseas. So a huge thank you!

    To end the term, to celebrate Christmas and all the hard work and achievements we have all gained this year we got glamourous for our own Christmas parties!

    The children had lots of fun with classroom games and competitions before finishing with a whole school party food get together!

  • Christmas Dinner & Entertainer

    Wednesday was the day we got to enjoy a school Christmas dinner complete with crackers and the obligatory party hat!

    In the afternoon we had a surprise visit from Mr Dan's entertainers' who performed some daring, funny and outrageous tricks!

  • KS1 Christmas Concert

    11th December 2015

    Thank you to everyone who came to watch the concert performed by Years 1 and 2. We had 2 showings of the Prickly Hay Nativity, both to a full hall of parents, carers and grandparents. The children have been busy practising the songs, learning the lines and making sure their instrumental accompaniment was just perfect, so we hope you all enjoyed it!

    May we also thank the stars of the show, the children! You did great and really made us proud! Well done everyone!



  • Christmas at the High School

    Rossington All Saints Academy wanted to share and spread the Christmas cheer by inviting all our year 2 children to their Christmas Craft and Service.

    Our children enjoyed some craft activities, refreshments and christmas songs. They even shared one of our nativity songs to them!


    It was a lovely afternoon with children from the Rossington community, so thank you Rossington All Saints!


  • Basic Skills Quality Mark

    4th December 2015

    We have recently been inspected by the Basic Skills Quality Mark team. They spend a whole day in the academy observing lessons, speaking with pupils, meeting with the staff and looking through the quality of work produced by the teachers and the children!

    We are delighted to inform you we have passed! The report is available to download below, it contains fabulous comments about the children, the work and the learning that takes place here in the Academy.

  • Halloween Parade

    30th November 2015

    You may remember our last stay and makes for years 1 and 2 involved making autumnal leaves and feathers for the owl which would feature in the Halloween Parade. The parade which toured Rossington in the October half term had 100 local people walking in the parade and a further 400 people watching.

  • A big breakfast!

    18th November 2015

    A big breakfast of beans and bagel was served in our breakfast club today and by the looks of it, it got a big thumbs up!

    A local company has kindly donated some additional food items so we can introduce new tastes and textures and have a treat each week in our FREE to attend breakfast club!

    This Wednesday it was beans with the bagels, a great winter warming healthy breakfast! Yum!

    Thank you to everyone who generously gave to Children in Need on Friday. Grange Lane Infant Academy raised an amazing £153 by wearing non-uniform with a spots and stripes theme.


  • Messy Church

    5th November 2015

    Thank you to Pastor Simpson and all the volunteers from Messy Church for coming and showing our year 2 children and parent, what is available when you join the Messy Church fun!

    Messy Church is a free family workshop on Mondays and Saturdays once a month 3.30-5.30. Families are able to enjoy a craft activity and a family meal, again all free but donations are appreciated.


  • A thank you for the harvest!

    We collected a staggering 203.7kg of food for the harvest! All this food, with the help from Pastor Simpson, was donated to the local food bank which supports local families and the community.

  • Breakfast Stay & Play

    23rd October 2015

    On the last day of the term we invited parents to come and enjoy breakfast and activities with their child before starting their busy day.

    We had a fabulous turn out with an extra 20 families coming to find out about the club on top of the normal breakfast club attendees. It was really nice to see families including younger siblings enjoying some food together, enjoying the time to chat or use many of the toys together.

  • Year 1 Stay & Make

    22nd October 2015

    Thank you to everyone who came to our stay and make session for year 1, which this time was organised by Katherine from Right Up their Street and the Halloween Parade.

    The community group have been busy making, sewing and building various puppets, collages and float items for the Rossington halloween parade. Katherine wanted Grange Lane to make autumnal leaves for the parade. So Penguins and Owls children and parents were busy cutting, sticking, sewing and threading various designs to really help the parade
