Careers Week – Fire Fighters

Thank you the National Emergency Services Museum for bringing their fire engine for all the school to have a look around. The children who visited the museum last week remembered what we should do in the situation of a fire and gave a really big FIRE shout. The children really enjoyed sitting in the fire engine and putting on some of the firefighter’s equipment – they even got to find out what the jaws of life were. They found out that inside the fire engine it holds lots of water in case there is no water nearby and that the hose is actually really heavy so you need to be fit and strong to be a fire fighter.
