WW2 Workshop
Today KS1 had a visitor in school to tell us all about what happened in WW2.
These are some of the things we found out…
The men had to be over 18 to join the army. The woman had to do all the work at home like cooking, cleaning, sewing and sometimes working in the factories.
There were also air raid shelters that people had to go into when the sirens went off.
The children had to be sent to different families away from the cities and towns so they would be safe for 6 years until the war ended.
We also got to dress up like people from wartime too!
