Gruffalo’s Child

Each year group has a a literacy lesson bespoke to a specific book they are enjoying. Year 1 had a fantastic lesson on the book by Julia Donaldson, The Gruffalo’s Child.

The children used drama to explore key words in the book along with acting out the characters of the story – you can see some fantastic knobbly knees and turned out toes of the Gruffalo, some slithery snakes and some squeaky little mice!

The children then had to draw their own path down the deep dark wood.
